About Zachary Taft
Zachary Taft, Esq. is a seasoned trial attorney at Greathouse Trial Law, LLC. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, and graduated with honors from Georgia State University. While at GSU Law, Mr. Taft knew two things: that he wanted to be a trial attorney, and he wanted to help people. On top of his studies, he volunteered more than 1000 hours of his time working in the litigation department of the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission. He also volunteered in the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic at Georgia State, where he helped individuals be forgiven hundreds of thousands of dollars in tax debts they could not afford to pay. Additionally, he worked for the DeKalb Public Defender’s Office under the Third Year Practice Act, where he represented individuals charged with serious crimes in open court.
Upon becoming an attorney, Mr. Taft gained trial experience while working for the largest private criminal defense firm in the metro Atlanta area. In his first year of practice, he tried more than a dozen jury trials as first chair; all resulted in not guilty verdicts, or results far more favorable than the best offer from the State. He also argued countless legal motions, which in many instances resulted in charges being dismissed against his clients before ever reaching trial.
Mr. Taft later honed his civil litigation experience when joined a large and prominent Atlanta insurance defense firm. He spent four years there, where he was trained by some of the most successful and sophisticated insurance defense attorneys practicing in Georgia. He learned firsthand how insurance companies evaluate cases, the tactics they use to drive down the settlement value of cases, and the numerous ways that they delay justice for individuals harmed by the negligence of others in order to increase their profit margins. He now uses his knowledge of how insurance companies and defense firms operate against them to obtain better settlements for our clients.
Mr. Taft brings vast experience to representing the clients of Greathouse Trial Law. He is a zealous advocate, and he leaves no stone unturned in obtaining justice for our clients. In his spare time, Mr. Taft is an avid golfer.
