  • “I’m a better cook than my wife.”

Riah loves to grill! He said if he wasn’t a lawyer, he would be spending his days grilling in Big Green Egg competitions. Riah got his Big Green Egg about 4 years ago for Christmas and has been obsessed ever since. He likes to fire up the grill after a tough day at the office. “Whenever I’m stressed out, I grill on my Egg. It’s a big stress reliever for me,” said Riah. His specialties include his rack of lamb and his beef back ribs.

  • “I’m a huge foodie.”

When Riah’s not working, you can find him exploring Atlanta’s amazing food scene with his wife, Amina. Before their son was born, Riah and Amina would look through Atlanta’s Thrillist Magazine and try out all the new and trendy restaurants they could find. Some of his favorite Atlanta eats are at Kevin Rathbun Steak and South City Kitchen.

  • “I know a lot about wine even though I don’t drink it.”

While Riah attended the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University in Houston, he worked at a wine bar where he picked up a vast knowledge of wine. “I don’t drink wine, but I know a lot about it,” he said.   • “I play the saxophone.”

Riah has been playing the saxophone since the 6th grade. He said he’s not as good as he once was, but he can still figure out a few songs. Riah might not be the next Charlie Parker, but it’s still quite an impressive skill.

  • “I’m a big baseball fan.”

Riah loves baseball, whether he’s watching or playing. Some of his favorite memories are on the field. As an Atlanta native, Riah is a huge Braves fan.  He remembers growing up in the 90s and experiencing the glory years of the Braves. Now, he enjoys watching Ronald Acuña Jr. and Ozzie Albies play at Truist Park.
